Default How to End a Hostage Situation

Watch close at 1:13 into the video:

    http://www.military.com/video/specia...1712813005001/

This happened in 1998 in the city of Cua in Venezuela (not Venezuala). 18 yr old Hector Duarte tried to rob a bakery when the cops were alerted. After a brief shoot out, he was shot in the left forearm and left leg, he ran up that apartment building and took Mrs Mercedes Lopez hostage after shooting her two 10 and 12 yrs old sons in the legs. The blood on the lady's shirt is from his wounded forearm, he demanded a car so he can go to Caracas Venezuela, and told the cops to get 2 coffins ready 1 for him and 1 for the lady because that was the only way out for him, "you shoot me I shoot her" (hence the cocky attitude) was his reply to the Hostage negotiator (sitting in car with yellow cap on) SWAT sniper was 50 meters away on a nearby roof top a single shot .302 caliber 75 grain shot was fired to end the siege.

The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

I thought the shot would be centered on his forehead (broader target). Nice shot and way to end it.

Although this wasn't in America, still there was no tax money wasted on a trial and prison.

The literature says the sniper was shooting a .302 with a 75 grain bullet. I'm not familiar with that caliber. But it got the job done.

What's the expected results of a CNS (central nervous system) shot? Will it likely cause a trigger pull if the perp's finger is on the trigger? I've shot enough squirrels in the head to think it would be a crap shoot for the poor hostage.

It seems to me there is only one 'clean' area that will cause the fingers to relax (or not clench), but I don't recall whether it's the brain stem or the mid-brain, etc.
