Just curious if anyone else had tried it? Don't think it will go so well shooting them off the bottom with those fiberglass arrows. I didn't know where to ask the question figured it would for the bowfishing forum.

I've shot them. Just got to be fairly accurate with your shooting. On the edges and you lose the fish. Head shot and it's yours.
The bottom doesn't bother fiberglass arrows.
Why? A gig is pretty effective and you have to pole the boat anyway.
We shoot them with the bow. Flounder are pretty easy targets not moving. Haven't had a problem with fiberglass arrows but you will dull some tips.
most fish swim on the bottom...... no different than shooting catfish or carp... just gotta go A LOT slower.....
DDS that is some nice work brother!
i went with a buddy one night, he gigged and i shot.......wasn't much fun to me, pretty big target and shallow water. I enjoy shooting freshwater fish alot more.
Im gonna give it a shot here in the near future. If it don't go well I'll just put the bow down and pick up the gig. DDS that's some nice work there. Might need to take some lessons.
