The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.
"I here repeat, & would willingly proclaim, my unmitigated hatred to Yankee rule—to all political, social and business connections with Yankees, & to the perfidious, malignant, & vile Yankee race."
A vote is like a rifle: its usefulness depends upon the character of the user.

i'm no weed head. smoked it a dozen or so times in my 33+ years. But marijuana being illegal is the silliest law around. The health affects of MJ are many and well documented. No one has ever died from an OD. You don't turn into a zombie and eat peoples faces off on it. If anything, habitual weed smokers are too nice, so much so they become annoying. Its is completly ridiculous for alcohol to be legal, which absolutely kills people, and weed to be illegal.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
-Samuel Adams
I imagine big pharma companies probably have a lot to do with it being illegal. anyone could grow their own medicine out back for cheap instead paying hundreds for crap that does more harm than good. Among others weed treats Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer’s rage, Glaucoma, chronic pain, chronic nausea, chronic spasms, MS and seizures. How many medications are created to "treat" those?
