    I like the:

field and stream app - good blog style info every day or two from around the nation
    BBC News - its news
Charleston Post and Courier - its news
the Charlotee Observer - its news
    USA Today - its news
Bloomberg - its stock/commodities and news
Dropbox - store stuff on your computer and access it on your phone
HBO go - watch movies on phone
TBS - watch tv on phone
Skype - video phone with my sister from way off
Amazon Kindle - get lots of free classic books on your phone

I've got espn scorecenter, cbs sports, abc news and cbs news on there but I dont use them a lot.

x2 on score mobile. WJHL is by far the best weather and radar app. Set it up for your current location and it will give you the weather wherever you go. Time2hunt is a must also.

I have an ipod touch and only use it with wifi. Appzilla is a bundle of apps, many useless, with some useful ones like motion detector, protractor, bubble level, alarm clock, grill timer, currency calculator, calendar, metric to SAE calculator, tip calculator, walkie talkie, and a bunch of other BS. It was either free or a couple dollars. "Find iphone" is a really good one that will find your device from any other Apple device and show you where it is and let you lock it or wipe the drive remotely. Facetime is like an Iphone skype. I use mine most to kill time sitting in a doctor's waiting room to play sudoku and listen to music.

Get photobucket, epocrates, and time2hunt. These seem to be the only apps that I use on a regular basis.
Don't know if you have an office camera, but the camera on the Iphone is awesome quality. I left my camera at the other office the other day and borrowed my assistant's phone to take pics of oral pathology to send to the oral surgeon.

thanks, IH. I hope i get better at it. I took a pic with my phone last night and it was grainy as hell. Is there a setting to take a "sharper" pic?

I don't know it may have a megapixel setting in the camera options. I will have to ask.

“… duckhunting stands alone as an outdoor discipline. It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”
    --John Madson, The Mallard, 1960
