How bout it Creekdog, you done any good?
BB, not big enough for a 40# fish! My friend that caught her decided he wanted a 9wt for this game and I told him not enough rod.....he agreed after I finally stuck her with the gaff and she was in the boat!
We went looking for tailing reds this AM but they're not doing it yet....don't understand cause it all right....the temp, the food, etc.
Decided to sabiki some greenies on a rip and I saw this fish surface looking for a meal....I chased, he cast and finally hooked up. Fun day!
You can laugh at the Buff all you want but I don't wear it look cool!
They're great except when they're is no breeze, they get hot so I don the lube when I have to.....tight lines!
Saw one other fish surface and no bits on live bait.

Cali: great fish. can you share what pattern she ate?

Buffs and sun masks work. I wear them. Almost always wear LS, long pants and gloves on sunny days inshore. Not concerned with any fashion statement either. Only issued one body, better take care of it. Dermo Doc told me the skin on and around our noses and ears is different and is has more potential to be damaged by UVA/UVB.

Plus, no need to reapply sunscreen. Moderation works.

    That is sweet Cali.

How can you touch that fish without rubber gloves? Your hands are gonna break out in a rash.

    A multicolor whistler......blue, red, yellow.
The skin around my nose, cheeks, and ears are what worries me the most!

Keep looking I assure you they are tailing. caught 4 on the fly sunday morning and 8 on spinning gear once the wind picked up.
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

great fish, even better with the fly rod. Try the Wondo for reds, tried them last week, saw a few could not get them to hit.

I caught the one in my avatar on the 29th. Fishing has been pretty good. I think something like 7 fish in 8 days were brought to the dock. Gonna be back after them wed-fri with my dad. Been hitting live whiteing.

Don't know why but it's not happening in Beaufort Co. like ya'll are seeing in Chas Co. yet.
These three flats are just a few in my arsenal and I was astounded they did not produce.....very productive flats to say the least.
It is not uncommon for me to see 100+ tailing fish on 2 out of the tree!
Dammit the small 2-3" nursery crabs too.....everywhere in the grass!

No but the captain at the back of the boat is a very close friend and an excellent angler!

    Nice ling Cali.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

It looked like a damn flotilla when I got out there on Saturday. Always a good show when boats are anchored up 50 yds from each other and a fish makes a decent run.
