    Default Solid Rock Knives.......

Blade show is in Atlanta in June.

I beat the rush, ordering these two bird and trout pattern knives from Scott Davidson.

Perfect sized blades for the intended use. Top edge has some delicate file work. Extremely sharp . Upper knife is stocked with Amboyna Burl and the lower knife is Desert Ironwood burl..

Damn fine blades for the price. I highly endorse Scott's work..

There is a fella that hangs around Pack's Landing named Bell. He makes the knives from steel he has and uses his own kiln to temper the metal. The steel he uses comes form old mill saw blades and leaf springs. It is right interesting to hear about the process.

I'll be back at the Blade Show this year with a group from the Upstate. Looking forward to it.

Fine looking knives. What type of steel?

He was at Pack's the Sunday morning after our last cleanup. He gave me a great lesson on knives and the blades of the same. I had no idea so much actually went into one.

Gonna depend on grip material. Contact Scott at (770)869-3173

The two pictured were $150 for the Amboyna and $160 for the Ironwood. Great value. Dozier, Ingram , Hendrix and others are up to $100+ more. I would rate Scott's work at least as good as theirs...
