I found this plat in an old box of deeds I have. The tract is in Berkeley County around Strawberry.
Does anyone recognize the area so that I can pinpoint it??

Hey Jab, email the pic to me. My dad retired from Bellsouth and knows the area very well and my brother now hunts some property in Strawberry directly across the dike from the Mepkin Abbey Monestary. I was looking for HWY 52 in the pic, but don't recognize it anywhere. Dad has collected quite a few plats from days gone by just doing some digging for Bellsouth in some ancient downtown Charleston structures. I'll try and see if he can figure it out for ya!
thats a cool north arrow on the plat.
A Nation of Sheep Breeds a Government of Wolves!

What are the units of measurement? CH or poles or ft?
They say the only time a fishermen tells the truth is when he tells you another fisherman is a liar.
Can't ID any thing except Bugar Swamp. Can you read the info on the road or any other land marks? Something like Addison's Ferry Rd I think? My Dad is 85 and born and raised here myself but I need to know some landmarks to tell you anything.
An average hunt becomes great with a good dog
Just to guess from the shapes and water bodies possibly something on the east branch between the power lines and the girl scout camp...Just a guess though. .

Use to be a ferry crossing at the Bluff (right above Rice Hope). Maybe the swamp is part of the short cut below the old rice mill which has been diked off and now cuts back into the Cut-Through field above the T's.
Looked at my maps to see if the ponds where still here but, nothing looks the same.
Life ain't easy and dry bread ain't greasy.
The one called cypruss pond towards the end of the creek looks as though it may be (and I am at work and don't have a map with me) the one I think is called Gailard Lake at the end of the creek on the left right past the power lines at the T's. I'm not sure, I'm kinda just guessin right now but I do got the area marked out on my GPS, I'll have to check it out when I get to the house tonight.
