    Default Desktop Computer Kaputz?

It is plugged into a surge supressor with all kinds of other shit that works.

    I left it working.

    Now it dont work.

Doesnt power up, no lights, no sounds, nada.

I tried the obvious, like making sure it was firmly plugged up, and a different outlet.

    Is it toast?

Probably your power supply. That's a minor repair job.

I went through this shit two weeks ago. Try plugging it in at another power source to see if you get power.

Mine ended up being a $10 surge protector that I've had for years that went bad. I replaced it and it's ran pretty steady since then. Make sure you don't have too much shit plugged in to the same receptacle (I think this may have been part of my problem as well)

If not go with Xhail's suggestion.

Had a virus/worm/some shit that did that to mine one time. It was on but nothing seemed to work.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

my work computer has been hit by lightning 3-4 times. it does exactly what yours is, or isnt doing. every time it has been the motherboard. it's coming in through my internet line. i have a little thingamabobber that is supposed to keep it from happening but it doesnt work. i now unplug my computer when a storm is near and when i leave work.

BTW, it's about 150.00 to get me back up and running every time.

Pulled/saved the hard drives out of our desktops; then shot the desktops, (monitors down to keyboard). No more aggravation!

Use wireless in your office to keep that from happening.
