    Default 1 set of Labs

well 12-8-12 I was eating whatever and I had labs drawn
    248.8 lbs size 40 waist
    cholesterol was 159
    triglycerides 195
Blood Pressure High^ 140 and up over 100 and up.

As of today I am 95% Paleo
    235.1 lbs size 38 waist
down a total of 7 1/2 inches over whole body
    cholesterol 122
    triglycerides 68
    Blood Pressure 118/80

I pat myself on my back. My triglycerides have NEVER been under 195
My cholesterol has never been under 159 in 20 + years since I have been having it checked. I gave myself a little gift today, an extra piece of chicken breast.

Nice work. Keep it up. I started the paleo kick about 10 days ago and am shocked how easy it is. Haven't lost much weight that I can tell, but feeling a whole lot better already.

And there it is. Pretty awesome when it is tangible like that isn't it. Proof positive this way of living is about HEALTH and not just about weight.

Good job and keep up the good work.

    This has made my day.

    And I'm just curious...

    A) are you on any meds?

    B) Did your Dr ask what you had been doing or did you just tell him/her?

    C) What was his/her reaction when/if you did tell tell them?

    Yes I am/was on meds
    Norvasc (blood pressure)
    Lipitor (cholesterol)

But he took me off the Lipitor for the next two months since my cholesterol is nice and low. I went from 20 mg (about 6 months ago) to 10 mg on 12-8-11.
He wants to wait on the BP meds. I have my BP checked everyday and it is dropping all the time.

He did ask if I had changed anything. I told him what I have been doing (Paleo) and working out everyday and walking 1 1/2 miles every evening with my Sable Pup. His nurse even wanted to know about the life style change and I told her to check out Mark's Daily Apple.

He said keep up the great work and if it is working for me and I am happy with it then to just keep it up. And just to let people know I am VERY HAPPY!!!
