    Default AH Fox

I've got an old Ansley H Fox shotgun that was given to me by my grandfather. I believe it was made in 1903. It looks pretty rough. Some squirrels chewed on the stock while it was up in the attic for years. I'd like to see if I could get it back in shooting condition as I think it would be fun to get some use out of it. I don't know a thing about shotguns that old. Do yall know of a place that specialized in restoring these old things? I saw an article on Darlington Gun Works back in the day. Has anybody heard of them? Any advice would be appreciated.

DGW would be the best bet.

Single or double trigger? I have a single trigger made in 1912 in mint condition, never fired

Darlington or Ronnie Cox in Greenville. I've seen some guns in rough shape Ronnie worked on that looked new when he was done.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Took my Grandfathers old double to DGW. to get the butt stock replaced. I was happy with the work. He matched the wood and color about as close to the original as you could get.
