I have heard of people getting caught shooting coyotes at night. The "man" told them just try to do it in the daylight and turn around and drove off. So I doubt anything would ever be said.

The calls are legal. Its the shining at night that's not.
Get a permit from your local GW if you want to shoot them at night to keep things easy on you.
Electronic calls are indeed legal- and can be deadly as hell!!
