Spent the first 3 days around Stuggart and St. Charles. Hunting was very slow to say the least. Hunted some holes in Bayou Meto that have produced in the past, and areas found in the White river NWR that we scouted. Very few local Arkansas guys hunting during the week, as there was only 5 or 6 boats at the Lower in the Bayou Meto. Decided to make the move north to the north east corner of the state and hunt a farmers flooded bean field. The migration was in full force and more coming into the area as the day went along. It is amazing how much different 170 miles make. I dont normally take many pictures, but I took a few after our last day which we ended up with 10 mallards, 3 gadwalls, and 1 shoveler (Left a gadwall out in last couple of pictures) We lost a pintail due to the heavy wind and then pulled a disappearing act on us when we went to go pick it up by boat. Dog did great and marked all birds, except for the pintail that kept diving and caused her to lose her mark ( rough water from the wind didnt help)
