Depends if you plan on wearing it hunting or just for everyday use.

For hunting I would go with a Mcalister. It's more heavy weight.

For a lighter everyday use, I would go with a Barbour.

Filson is obviously the best choice.

I have a five year old Barbour Beaufort, I wear for an everyday. I do However have a twenty year old Barbour Solway that I love. It depends on what you want, or our temps. I have a wool liner for both, but in the name of everything pure there is no way I'd feel comfortable shooting with a liner in.

This is a 1/2" of ice on the hood of my McAlister. I stayed dry and reasonably warm with a wool sweater underneath.

If you're buying one to wear out to dinner go with a Barbour.

If you're buying one to hunt I would go with a Filson.
