Luke and Aceie this summer.
Gorgeous dogs everyone!
Neither are extreme hunters. The golden is my brother-in-law's and will bring a duck back (occasionaly). The beagle is mine and has run a rabbit or two but is much better at sleeping and eating!
A young Boykin and a old Lab
He's 13 this year. The old boy has a lot of fight left.
Cali, 2 YO now.....
Bogue, in Arkansas several years ago.
My wife had the picture painted for me about 6 years ago and its phenominal!
I will try and remember to take a pic and post up...makes me water up when I look at it.
Chase, the beast.....nuff said!
This pic was in the 90's...

Alot of the stories of your dog's that you folk's talk about on here, tug at the heart strings, and makes the eyes tear up.
I quit looking at the rest in peace post's in the retriever forum, not that i don't want to look i just don't want to be reduced to a snivveling lump of flesh.

agreed. aint much that makes me tear up, but some of those RIP threads really can do it to a fella. especially if you have member of the family thats of the k9 variety.
here is mine......his name is Flash. 5yo lab... hunting is about the only thing he doesnt do with me. he is the best house dog you could ask for, except for the fact that he weighs 85lbs and has a tail that can clean off a coffee table in 0.01 seconds. hes a mommas boy, thats a fact. he LIVES to play fetch, and is more at home in the water than he is on dry land. he's as smart yet stubborn as a teenage child, and just as mischievous at times. the day this old boy goes to doggie heaven will be a sad time around the Murray homestead.
This thread is turbo approved!
Woodie (now 6yrs old). He hunts with me every now and again, but doesn't have the experience he needs. I think Woodie would have been a wonderful retriever, but I failed him as a trainer and handler. He's a great dog and the greatest friend.
He always wants to ride on the bow. Calm, rough, dark, or daytime...

HS,
That is sharp looking Boykin.
I wish I could breathe life back in him, if I could I'd hunt him again tomorrow. - Ben Rodgers Lee
