    You guys should get some good arguements off of this. SCWA is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

    Mallard Program
    In 1994 SCWA initiated an experimental Mallard restoration and research project. Since that time the project has developed into the SCWA Mallard Release Program. The mission of the program is to increase wintering populations of mallards in South Carolina that will help maintain our mallard hunting tradition. Since 1994, in cooperation with over 150 landowners who fund the annual release of ducks, over 400,000 mallards have been released in South Carolina and 60,000 are scheduled for release this year.

    <font size="-1" face="verdana,arial,helv">How can released birds be categorized as "wintering mallards", they stay year round??? They's too much $$$ put into that, when it could be going toward "migratory wintering mallards". Just my .02
