I got in the stand yesterday afternoon around 4:45. It's setup in an old pond surrounded by pines. No action until right at dark. I had one deer come in behind me and before it made it to the corn another one was coming from in front of me. The one in front of me was bigger, but angling toward me. She finally went broadside and I drew. I put the pin low and in the best spot I could make out and released. I heard it smack and then she took off only about 10 yards. I was thinking I must of missed, but she went about another 30 yards and tipped over. Probably not the best idea to be shooting does in the middle of the rut, but I can't help it with the bow. The smaller deer went back to feeding and I had a couple more come in. I waited in the stand for her to expire and then went and checked my arrow. It was 10 inches in the ground with good blood. Ended up hitting her low shoulder and exiting out between her front two legs. 116 pounds!
