Since things on Moultrie are dead we are mulling over a few trips up that way. All I know about Murry is what they show on ESPN bass fishing. What is the habitat up there mostly like? What does a duck have in the way of groceries?

Basically, what you have by way of ducks on Murray are the hand-fed dock variety. They survive on a steady diet of Wonder bread.

Boom Boom- Guess you didn't read or hear about the article in The State paper about the duck hunting ban on Lake Murry this year. NO HUNTING will be allowed! Stay on Moultrie!

when was this " new " ban placed for hunting lake murray . i can imagine this ban being for the entire lake . maybe they plan on having specific areas for duck hunting . i wouldnt think you guys would be telling someone about a " ban " to keep the number of hunters low , so that you could hunt . i see nothing about this on the dnr site . if so , where's the info ?

I guess Murray is off my favorite list. Sorry to all... I guess we will have to find a new spot to invade.

The area above the Fairplay Landing on Hartwell has been placed off limits now. Nobody better be up there. Again Fairplay Landing on Hartwell and above is no longer to be hunted or else. Damn rich people.

This just in, The Ricefields will be off limits to all River hunters this year. Also no River or Bay hunting allowed in Georgetown County--Only field shooters allowed. No hunting allowed on the infamous Oyster Blind or Mud Blind, don't none of yall bother riding out there, I done been and its all roped off. Looks like they are taking away all water hunting, damn rich people.
