    Default I could be hooked

Just got back from a weekend in Jackson, WY for a buddies wedding. The ranch where he was married happens to have 2 1/2 miles of private, blue-ribbon trout stream running through it. At the rehearsal dinner, the groom and I were discussing what we were going to do the next morning since his wedding wasn't until 5 when the ranch manager who is like a father to the bride chimed in and said come out to the ranch in the morning and fish. We jumped at the opportunity and Sunday morning we (the groom, his father, BIL and myself) jumped in my truck and headed out. Doug, the manager met us at the ranch and handed us rods and flies and told us to have at it. We spent the next 4 hours dragging cutthroats out and having a ball. The BIL and myself had never flyfished and we each caught our fair share and had a ball. The groom and his father, both experienced flyfisherman put on a clinic for us with the groom catching the big fish of the day plus a beautiful bride a little later.

Fellas, I can honestly say this weekend was one of the best I have had in a long time. I grew a real appreciation for an art that I hope to pursue and I got to watch one of my best friends marry the love of his life. God was truly smiling down on us this weekend.

I have a few pictures I will try to get up later.

It's about damn time you started fly fishing. You've only been in MT how long???
Man and other animals were first vegetarians; then Noah and his sons were given permission to eat meat: “every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you” Genesis 9:3

"A man may not care for golf and still be human, but the man who does not like to see, hunt, photograph or otherwise outwit birds or animals is hardly normal. He is supercivilized, and I for one do not know how to deal with him." Aldo Leopold

If theres one thing I regret that I didn't take full advantage of when I was back in mt, it would have to be fly fishing. 3 trophy head waters right at the tip if my fingers and I only caught about 30 trout in 3 years, lame! That will change soon, really soon! I'm headed back! Don't waste a great opportunity

I am really wanting to do a cast and blast on the Big Horn opening weekend but that might be a little intense for my pup and she needs the hunting more so it will be an easy hunt at my honey hole.
