Got a reading of 108 today in Anson County. That is the hottest reading I remember ever seeing. And it weren't any DRY heat either...

I grew up working tobaco...pulling drags at 10, cropping at 12-15, then racking 15 yrs on up to the buyout. It took a long time for me to graduate to "run" it. Yeah it gets hot...but a tobacco field aint got shit on this screen door to hell I am sitting beside now. Columbia is HOT!

According to all the online weather reports Moncks Corner has a heat index of 118 today. I'm up in Virginia right now at Yorktown and it sure can't be too far away from that here!! Of course heat index or not.....Anything over 100 degrees is just damn hot!!

I've only been here for three days and I can't wait to get back home to Alaska. It was a balmy 52 degrees when I left Anchorage on Saturday!!! Deer season opened on the 1st of August and I can actually hunt comfortably in long sleeves!!! YESSSSSSSSSS
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL
