Shoot the first off the wire then the other as it flys away.
Back to front or what ever way keeps the gun swinging through the targets.

Shoot the back, or the lowest first. If you shoot the lowest, the gun recoil will help you with the high bird. If you are aiming for the last bird, you can continue on your follow through for the leading on.

Front bird first; timing it so the second bird hits a tangential just as I recover from the kick of the first shot. Otherwise, I don't even attempt it.

You've got to wait on the birds to cross. If you don't then you're just wasting a shell. 10 shells should be all you need for a limit. You might waste a couple shells at the beginning before you get the hang of it.
Explained..........if you catch 2 birds close enough together on the power line then you can walk until you get the angle right....and they cross.

You should always take the best shot presented. If that means its the first bird, then that's your first target.
Regardless of order, once the first bird is under control, your head should come up off the stock (gun remains mounted on you shoulder) and you should switch your focus to the second bird. If your head comes up like its supposed to and you put a hard focus on the second bird, the gun will naturally go to that target much faster than if you keep your head down on the stock. From there, your head goes back down, you see the lead and you pull the trigger. Dead pair.
Take strategy out of your mind and replace it with basic shotgun technique.
