Default OK, let's hear the "real" story...

The reports did not include the names or sports involved, so it could be the women's golf team. Oh wait, don't have one. Also, did not see it listed on the channel 4 or 7 website so it probably is not true.

Clemson details 12 NCAA secondary violations

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Clemson's athletic department reports 12 NCAA secondary violations, including five athletes repaying who stayed in a hotel room paid for by a former teammate's agent and an audit that found a $1 overpayment in athletes' on-campus housing allowance.
The violations were reported Friday, and occurred from February through July 15. Clemson's athletic department releases NCAA violations twice a year through open record requests from The Associated Press and other media outlets.
The names of athletes and the sports involved have been left out of the reports. All violations are considered secondary, a less serious NCAA violations.
Listed among the infractions was a Clemson coach overhearing athletes discussing a spring break trip, then discovering five people stayed in a $349 room. Each athlete was made to repay $76 to charity.

How is 3 violations in the month of July OLD? We are all aware of "secondary" violations by the Gamecocks. USC also does not with hold which sports teams violated those rules. I will say though that even in the WIS report, that it sounds like the Clemson staff did try to do the right thing when they got knowledge of infractions. There is still nothing on the upstate news websites about this. If it had been Carolina it would be the front page headline for a week!

There's nothing on the news outlets up here about them because the news outlets up here are better than the news outlets down there. Secondary violations are not newsworthy, instead, they're stupid. To hell with the NCAA.

Ex. My cousin's kid graduated HS with Emory Smith and both went to Clemson. One weekend E was gonna ride home to Pensacola with my cousin's kid, a HS friend of his, but was forbidden to do so because his HS friends dad was an alum of Clemson......ignorant.
