The reports did not include the names or sports involved, so it could be the women's golf team. Oh wait, don't have one. Also, did not see it listed on the channel 4 or 7 website so it probably is not true.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Clemson's athletic department reports 12 NCAA secondary violations, including five athletes repaying who stayed in a hotel room paid for by a former teammate's agent and an audit that found a $1 overpayment in athletes' on-campus housing allowance.
The violations were reported Friday, and occurred from February through July 15. Clemson's athletic department releases NCAA violations twice a year through open record requests from The Associated Press and other media outlets.
The names of athletes and the sports involved have been left out of the reports. All violations are considered secondary, a less serious NCAA violations.
Listed among the infractions was a Clemson coach overhearing athletes discussing a spring break trip, then discovering five people stayed in a $349 room. Each athlete was made to repay $76 to charity.
