2th is that the only pic of "ol black face" you have?

pretty much, CL. he came thru yesterday morning. had a couple of other bucks behind him. got a sequence of him (3 pics) and that was it. that was the only pic where you could see all 9 points. 9 is more than 8. so a 9pointer makes you a better hunter than an 8 pointer. SW taught me that at a decomate training course.

i put corn out yesterday and a new card so i reckon he will get his picture taken this weekend.

and then I can get MY picture taken with him.

You are correct in 9pts>8pts unless 8pts is 20" wide then and only then will 8pts>9pts

craziness. went thru 1400 pics on this camera of the same small buck with 2 does and a fawn. every evening. all night long. just clicking thru the pics until mid afternoon on tuesday. just weird. bucks not back on camera after this pass through and its hard to see them all. in one pic, I think i see 7 but never a great shot of the ones in the background. I aint hunting at 3pm....sorry.

and all the other bucks are still at the other camera---ol lumpy jaw, the 9 point with the nice right side, and the black face brothers. This is the one I am after. He is a loner most of the time. Seems to come down this trail at last light. A few pics of some "shooters" in the morning but i fear i cant get into this spot without spooking them. I am working on a way to get in here. Hell, i havent hung a stand yet...but i will. The way I see it, I have about the first two weeks of the season to get on this deer. After that, they disappear on me until the rut. I have noticed in the progression of pics that a few are losing a very little bit of velvet but the big bucks are allowing the smaller bucks onto the corn. not sure what that means. maybe SW can tell me....
