Add 0.5" to our total. We just got a pretty intense afternoon thunderstorm. Sure beats setting up a patchwork irrigation rig!

We caught an afternoon thundershower (0.3" total)out at the farm about 5:00 pm. That won't last long, but we're glad to get something for the time being.

We got a pretty good rain yesterday afternoon east of I-95 in the Pee Dee area. Florence had 2+ inches and some ephemeral street flooding. We got a little over an inch at the farm. It came at a good time - the corn was stressed and sunflower foliage was starting to droop.

BTW - We're now enjoying (irrigated) home grown tomatoes!

Got 2 1/2 at the house and from the looks of the fields I got 1-2 at the farm.

Everybody got a bunch from Florence to Sumter yesterday. Water everywhere along hwy 76 & 378.

    Rubbahead,

    Not sure about Bennettsville.

My rain gauge at the house is busted. Freak ball and bat incident according to the kids, but I would imagine we got at least 2" possibly 3 in Sumter. Now I wish I hadn't limed and fertilized my yard. I am cutting grass every 3 days with all the showers we have been getting.
Hope our crops have been as fortunate and everyone else...

Got 2.5" at the house and just enough to knock the dust down at the dove field.

Some areas right around Bennettsville got 0.5 to 1.5 inches. To the west (Society Hill, Cheraw) got only a trace or nothing at all.

I was right below Bennetsville and Clio today. If they got any rain yesterday, it sure wasn't much.

Corn was curled up and even some broadleaf weeds.

Sure would like to see them get an inch or so in the next 5 days.

It rained like crazy yesterday afternoon and this afternoon up here in Campobello. I had just sprayed a Round Up/Crossbow mix when I first heard the thunder. Hopefully the 45 minutes of full sun prior to the rain will mean I have less invasive vines all over my fence line!

Chap - I think it's supposed to be rainfast in about an hour. Good luck!

We got a thunderstorm in the early morning hours. Actually it's still sprinkling, so I haven't visited the rain gauge yet. I sure hope we got some out at the farm.
