You need to insert your windows CD. Boot from the CD, go to the recovery console and run chkdsk /r

Not a computer guru, but had this happen to my work PC a few weeks ago. After IT got it in safe mode, they figured out it was a windows update that had gone through the night before that my computer did not like and would cause the blue screen. They removed the update and everything was fine.

X hail is telling you right.

The chkdsk_r will check and the r stands for repair

his error is a file system error and not a windows update problem. chkdsk should fix it.

    STOP Error 0x00000024: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
STOP error 0x24 means a problem occurred in ntfs.sys, the driver file that allows the system to read and write to NTFS drives. STOP code 0x00000024 may also display "NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM" on the same STOP message.
