I don't marinate a good steak. on a rib steak or ribeye are the best sprinkled with garlicsalt. throw on grill until done on one side, turn over and then sprinkle with worchestershire sauce cook until medium rare. try this for a great steak.

Those marinades sound delicious soaking a piece of flank steak or a piece of beef from the Dominican Republic or Haiti

    ¼ cup bourbon
¼ cup soy sauce, (I use half soy & half Worcestershire)
    ¼ cup brown sugar
1 medium onion, finely chopped, (I prefer Vidalia or Texas sweet)
    2 tbsp whole grain mustard
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    Dash of Worcestershire
Black pepper, (course ground), to taste

Marinate in ziploc 8 hours. I've marinated for 1 hour, and it's just as good.

*If mixture is too thick for your tastes, can add water to equal 2 cups of marinade*

If he cannot find the jokes in this thread then he's lost way beyond the point of marinating steak.

$10 says he has a can of biscuits in his fridge or a bag of frozen ones in his freezer.

If the bag of frozen biscuits is referring to Mr. B's biscuits, you need to retract. dang. Those biscuits and some cane patch, that's what I'm talking bout.

    No marinate.

Age it a couple days after getting.

Brush on EVOO and the put a good steak rub on there and crank up the heat.

Just make sure they are cooked the way every steak should be.

    Well Done.

If you cook it well done, you might as well eat a piece of shoe leather. They will taste about the same......

(some of you) Fuckers must be buying "steak" from wally-world.

I've found hot-ass coals, good beef, kosher/sea-salt, and fresh-cracked black pepper to be all a good cut needs.

Thinking now I'm ready for a good plate of beef carpaccio thanks to this thread!

I am not a pepper fan, but i'll agree with everything else here. That and steak has to be room temp before hitting the hot coals.

Never tried 'em so can't comment on quality. But knowing they are frozen is enough for me to stay away.

If I'm going to eat one it will be a fresh hand rolled lard one.

Not at all, but sometimes I do like to try something different. I prefer my grilled steak with just coarse pepper, with a baked vidalia onion & sliced tomatoes on the side.
