taking out the trash....
took a young fella last night from chapin out to santee and put him on some fish.... this guy is a junior in high school, and he has started shooting a few tournaments with us....this young man can slap kill a fish. its rare that i take someone fishing on my boat and get out shot, but i did last night....
ended with 78 total.... mostly gar, carp, and shad. but had a few catfish mixed in for the freezer....

i rarely shoot carp and gar... usually just go out, shoot a few catfish, and leave the rest.
but sometimes i do....
i got some locals that eat the carp, so they get thrown in a cooler for them to pick up. i kept them shad for cut bait for catfish. the gar got dropped off in the gut hole. the catfish will of course be cleaned and eaten by myself.... and actually, i saved 4 of the big gar for a fella that goes to my church... he wants to get the eggs out of them for bream bait....
cooked a catfish stew saturday and was down to my last pack... freezer needs to be restocked.
