This morning was one of those awesome mornings to be in the spring woods turkey hunting...
Hunted a place this morning that I haven't hunted in 3 years...
We started our journey this morning at the top of the powerline that runs through the property.... Standing around waiting for one to gobble and ol owl fires off WHO WHOOO BALAALALAAALA holy shit well we determine this bird is off the property... So we decide to move on down the power line closer to the property line. When once again whoo whoo whoo blaaaallalla huh thats a different bird and it sound like he may be on us(we get to stepn now) WhOOO wHHooo BLLAAALLLLAAA BAALLLLAAAA lalalal oh my these sonsabitches in on fire well we set up hit a tiny lil soft yelp(on the Spring Allure) BAALLAALLLAAAALLLAHAHLA hes on the ground give him a couple min and I give him a little more sweetness BalaLAlalalala... What the hell he's moving away... Give him a little more sweetness and this time I'm cut off by the funniest sounding little ol jake gobble not 15 yards in the woods across the powerline then the hens got to yelping then I hear the sweetness to my ears Fitttzzzzz ut oh ol silent BOB done sliped in... not 30 seconds later ol BOB is standing in the foodplot safety clicks off head pops up BEAUTETTA goes boom... Bob Does the death flop then jumps up and flaps his wings about 20 time and only got about 10' off the ground I let Beau loose again he folds like a dove! Hell yeah I got yo ass Bob! stomped his head gave high five and set back down for another 2 hours...
