    Default 38 special + P Taurus

Looking for pistol and found a new Taurus 38 special + P stainless for $400.
Had mind set on S&W but is the Taurus too good of a deal not to buy?

Have heard and seen a lot of Taurus but never heard pros or cons.....please advise.

I doubt I'll own another Taurus... long story.

If you're at $400, I'd look at the S&W 642, which should be right around that price, especially if you can find one 'lightly' used. IMO, there's no comparison in quality.

    Ditto what Woodie said.

This one's $390 plus shipping and FFL cost.

you should easily be able to find a 642 in that range. I bought my wife a new one and the sticker was $450. I ended up paying a good bit less, but I know people.
