Killing any native animal for the sake of killing is a practice perfected by those with little to no respect for wildlife and their niches, and no education in biology.

If I kill a raccoon, it aint for the sake of killing, although I have perfected the practice. They destroy my sweetcorn, therefore I've gotta problem with 'em. And we already know the damage they do to the duck and song bird population.

South Carolina has enough habitat to winter millions of coots, ducks, and geese.

1.Who would've thought that if you place a buffet of corn in a coon's backyard, he'd wind up eating it. What a stupid animal. Surely he knows he risks getting his head blown off, and eats the corn just to spite you.

2. Be more specific....You said habitat.

3. The raccoon population could double and wood ducks would be fine.

4. Search the archives regarding venomous snakes. Anybody with a lick of sense agrees, killing rattlesnakes for the sake of killing is downright idiotic.

If it wasn't for predators, wooducks would waddle around like dodo birds. Does that make sense? Predators shape the prey, and vice-versa. To wonder what predator species "do" for prey species reveals a fundamental failure to comprehend the natural world.
