    I was walking to the stand this afternoon when i heard the eeriest sound in the woods. The rattle snake. I froze when I heard it and I was standing 2 feet away. The .243 seemed to do the trick on him. BE CARFUL BOYS!

    yeah i was walking back from the stand 2 nights ago( of course i did not have my snake boots or a flashlight, one of the only times you will find me without either) and damn walked right over a copper head..I saw him, took a few steps back and like Crippler the .243 seemed to do the trick...

    Well, If I found canebrake rattlers skittering across my kitchen counter everytime I flipped on the light, or had copperheads chewing up everything in my barn, I'd be a lot madder at 'em than I am.

    I got a question for you men folk that shoot the .243. My daughter is wanting to start hunting and she's 11, not big in size but pretty tomboyish. Do you think that the .243 would be a good one for her to start out with, or would you suggest something else? I use a 6 mm Ruger myself, or hubby's 270. And as far as the "vaginal attitude" goes, it's funny how you don't mind "vaginal" when you ready for some huh?
