    Default 1754 War Eagle

Just wondering if any of you have one and what size motor it has and how it runs with said motor. Been thinking about either a 1648 or 1754 to put my 50 on and sell my 1546 triton. The 17 footer has a 12 degree v so should take open water alot better. Just thinking out loud. Figured the wider and longer boat would carry a load better and it would be only 8 inshes wider than my triton so i shouldn't be hindered in where i go too bad. Anyone?

yeah i called the other day about the 754 LDV with pod seat and floor..just bought a new tiller handle to change over the 70 and probably going put a Bob's hydro jack plate on it...talk with a guy and he said that hull with the 70 if i get my weight dist. right should be lower 50's. still trying to decided if i am going to keep the 16' high tide or go back to an aluminum hull for around here

That boat should run faster than that. I have a 17 Xpress/side console/livewell, etc.. with a Merc 60 and am just barely short of 40 mph.

If the 70 will push it in the 50's my 50 should bump 40. If i can get 36-38 with my 50, i'll have one before next season.

is that loaded or just you? Not really worried about speed, but would like mid 30's

Browning, you gotta realize, that boat of yours is probably heavier than the 17 foot war eagle. I want one that is bare bones. Pods in the back and the high deck with the storage hatch to put life vests in. The rest of the room will be for deeks and sneak boats

    and beer!

    and nekkid wimins!

If you want to hit 40 mph I know that the 648 will get there with a 50. I've got a 648 with a 50 mercury two stroke tiller. With a heavy load I'll hit aout 37 and empty 40.

trying to decide between the 16 and the 17. I like the fact that the 17 has more V in the bottom, has higher sides, and isn't much bigger than the 16 as far as beam. I'm getting kinda tired of not having any room.

wish the TP would hurry up, might let someone hold the triton and work on the 1754. Just priced one and it wasn't as bad as i thought. Not much more than what i paid for my triton and mine was green, no floor, no gunbox etc and the WE is loaded.

Got a 1648 with 25 honda side console. Not even colse to enough motor cold natured and slow but has yet to fail me. Went with 25 at the time of purchase due to the HP restrictions out west. Will def upgrade to 40 or 50 when im done tearing up this one....

Phone' .... I heard that. Xpress advertised the hyperlift 1650HJ DB @ 450lb's w/gunbox. Of course with my boat you got to add side console, 3 batteries, TM, 6gal tank, bla, bla, bla. I tried looking up War Eagles advertised weights, but they didn't list it in the brochures I got.

I got to remember too these big numbers are 2 gallons of gas, just enough safety gear to be legal, dead of winter, perfect 7mph tail wind, and down to your birthday suit.

I think some of my problem is needing to find the right prop. I still need to try out a 15" Vengeance.
