    Default boat project updated

i posted a few pics when i first finished painting it but never put up the finished project. I sanded the boat with a couple different drywall blocks, then washed the boat very well, followed by a good primer. After drying, i sanded with a fine sanding block, sprayed the dust off, and put down a OD green with the HVLP sprayer, then the first stencil i used krylon dark brown with spots of styx river fall brown on the same stencil at the same time. i then sprayed my black, then for the grass i used krylon khaki, then oversprayed more fall brown befor removing the stencil, has taken roughly a month, working two jobs and onloy an hour here or there when i could. all LED lighting came from toller boat works and was very pleased with the amount of light they give off. There is 6 green LEDS in the inside of the boat and one white LED out back to monitor the motor peeing.

Outstanding! That's one of my projects for when the weather warms up. I've got the paint and stencils, just need some good weather and a little time. That's as thorough a job as I've seen from top to bottom.

How do you like the LEDs? I guess they come in white too, huh? Are they pretty low profile? My only concern with my boat would be breaking them.

    Again, helluva job.
I don't need my name in the marquee lights....

i love the LED's my goal was not to need a flash light at any place in the boat. I have one white LED on the back by the motor to watch the pee. The lights are only about 3/16 thick, so they are super low profile and great amount of light output. Got them from brad at toller boat works you wont be disappointed
