    Default Computer Question

I have an older Dell laptop that I have not used that much because I have a work computer. Just recently it will start up but the screen is just white and I wanted to get a couple of documents off it that I have not saved.
Can you get a cord to hook it up to a desktop (for it's monitor) to get the data off it. Any help at all would be appreciated I am not that good with computers.

Yes you can. Check your monitor and the back of the laptop, unplug the end from the tower and plug it into the laptop. I think they are all universal.

It sounds like your Laptop might be at the end of its road.

    Sean,
    Here you go...

You simply need to remove the hard drive from you Dell, plug it in using this kit and connect it to your work computer. You'll be able to read off all the files you need.

On my Latitude, it's <Fn> <F8> to switch from local screen to external monitor.
