*Unlucky Buck*
I am not much of a morning deer hunter because ever time I have been in the morning I see nothing. Friday morning I messed around the house for a while and then headed to the stand to see if a doe was eating on the corn pile. I had already decided that whatever I saw would die. My stand is set up to where I can sneak in and shoot one while they are eating. I snuck in around 8 and lo and behold nothing, so I decided to sit for a little while just to see if something would walk. Just before 8:30 I heard some comotion and saw a deer making his way along the ridge I walked in on. I readied myself and noticed it was a buck. DANG! Oh well! I haven't killed a deer in 10+ years off of this property, so I decided on onion and hot italian sausage. I shot him a little far back, but he didn't go too far. He weighed in at 152lbs at the processor. This deer looked to be an older deer(not 4.5 or older) with the way his head looked and his weight, but I am no biologist or moderator.
btw - tongue out and head turned around for you classy guys!!
