    Default 9'6" & 10'4"

It has been a long two days. We went out last night and tried our second attempt to fill the two tags we had. It took a couple of hours to get hooked up with the first gator. This our first year getting tags and gator hunting, so we found one we thought to be around ten foot (hey good first). Once we landed the gator it was around 9'6". It was around 3:00 am so we decided to head in and found the larger gator near the landing and decided to give the larger gator a whirl and you know we would hook up on the first try. We got home with and started cleaning around daylight. I believe the 10'4" had part of his tail missing. We didn't weigh him but I think he may have been around 400lbs. After landing that thing my hats to the fellas getting those 12 and 13 footers.

Those "holes" are my friends attempt at clipping the backbone with a hatchet. I don't think we did too good of a job. WIS news? No that's not us. But Man that was a fun night and we sure did learn alot. Next year if we get tags things may be a little easier. I can honestly say that what little I know about gator hunting came from reading the post from this site and speaking with a couple of people from this site.
