I'm waiting on it to cool off before I take my new pup this year and I want to check out the new field first also.

I've seen a few guys using painted split lid offshore coolers. Partially filled with water and several frozen 2 liter/gallon bottles. Dogs jumped right back in the coolers after picking up birds. They watched though the small lid which remained open.
