    I ain't seen much in the way of chasing in over a week. I know the rut is not over, but damn.

    Picked one up at the processor and He said this past weekend slowed up a lot. It usually starts to taper off about now.

    I think you actually kill more "mature" bucks when the chasing is over, and they start to troll..

    Out of about 20 people hunting 2300 acres this weekend only two bucks and a doe were killed. I haven't seen a buck in a couple weeks

    This has always been my experience. Especially around food sources. I killed a decent buck last evening hot on the trail of two does in Chester County. I heard him grunting long before ever I saw him. When I finally put the cross hairs on him, his tongue was hanging out of his mouth from exhaustion.
