any of ya'll ever used one for a big gator? success? what kind of line did you use?
i got 2 12/0 weighted trebble hooks that i'm gonna rig up on a rod and reel and one 16/0 weighted that i'm thinkin about puttin on a rope as back up to the bow

Just use em as guides. Get one in the gator...take the boat to him and stay on top. When he comes up for air...gig him with something more substantial.
