    Default Two wheels

Been having to bum rides around town to and from work, but the fishing trips are pedal powered. Kind of cool what you can find inside the city limits.

It's a bad pic, but the fins were purple:

These are the name of the game in town. I taught a friend to whip it good and he caught 8 of these his first try - I caught about 60 in the same time span:

May be the same fish, or not, I don't know:

Been catching catfish, bass, and suckers inside RTP. People always bitch and moan about not having a car, but I don't think you don't really need one. (At least in the hot hot summertime.)
I might be allergic, but I'll try it anyway.

    small water fishing is medicine.

    Good on you.

Find some deeper pools and your redbreasts should be a little bigger.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

if you can be patient enough to fish that deep....and get the fly down....

using split shot will not get you banned from fly fishing circles and is often the only way to go....
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

Or you can add base wrap of lead wire to flies. This way the grey of the shot won't clash with your ascot as you pose for pictures while gripping a flyrod in your mouth.

I was gonna say that this was the first reference to an ascot on this site, but the I remembered the hell we gave Mergie about that one he was wearing in his vintage pictures.

Breams on the fly are never dull.

I might be allergic, but I'll try it anyway.
