My grandad has a recording studio and he can straight get down on the steel. He played everywhere in the south and does it for fun/side money now. Anything from blues to bluegrass and the old country stuff.

I'll take the youngin out there with me and we'll sit down and listen to him play. banjo, harmonica, guitar, steel, or whatever. He has so much talent and that kind of playin is hard to find nowadays so got to make sure root hears as much as he can before the radio pollution gets worse.

There's no piece of musical equipment as bad-assed as the steel guitar, IMO. There always seems to be a gray-haired badass sittin there lettin it flow. It's like you've gotta be 70 to play it.

Okie From Muskogee is the first song I ever remember singing...Hell, half the population of Puerto Rico thought I was from OK and the other half thought that little white boy is gonna be trouble. Fuck 'em all...I'm from SC and I'm purty fucking normal, but I damn sure loved that song. Sung the shit out of it I did.
