Default I Should Have Retired As A New York Cop

Padded Pensions Add to New York Fiscal Woes

"One of the youngest, Hugo Tassone, retired at 44 with a base pay of about $74,000 a year. His pension is now $101,333 a year."

You seem like the type of cop that Sean Connery played alongside Kevin Costner in the movie "The Untouchables"

I kinda pictured Merg as Blue Duck, from Lonesome Dove.

I recently spoke to a couple of retired cops from Minnesota - their pension paid 100% of their base pay if they had 30 years of service credit. Walk out the door after 30 years making the same as before you retired.

In South Carolina, retire at 30 years and it's around 66%.
