    Default Bait tank pedestal

Got tired of the 50 gallon taking up the floor space. So, I traded for this 30 gallon and made the pedestal out of a square piece of cutting board. Used the remaining scrap from the corners to make the holder brackets.

Can't do nuttin wit a redneck an sum tools.

I like it. How are the legs fastened underneath the boat board?

    Elevated bait tank makes me
    nervous.

    But I like it.

Me too dex. I can just see a rope snagging those legs and taking them out, or tripping and kicking them out...then all that elevated weight.

However, it might be my only option for a larger bait tank in my boat.

I would be nervous as well. Looks good but something about 30 gallons of elevated water and 3' seas and along with that saying if it can go wrong it will go wrong keeps popping in my head. Maybe it is just me.

Don't worry boys, I still have to put my tie downs to hold it during transportation. The legs are actually a precautionary measure, there is not as much weight on them as you'd think. The weight is centered pretty well on the fiberglass.

he could always let some water out! looks like the legs are "below grade" but may need another leg or two to stand on when water gets to "sloshin"

It held my 265 lb arse and did'nt even think of moving. Heck, I was almost dancing on it. My Dad asked me if I was trying to tear it up.

So that thing weighs in a 210 lbs full, give or take some for the herring or shad. When you accelerate that is a whole lot of force rotating on one particular moment. I would hate to see that thing go rolling off, when you cross a big wake, and or on the side of the interstate.

Be careful. Love a good fabricator!

Blast from the past!! Whitequaker’s boat project got me reminiscing about my boat.

PS. For all the naysayers, that bitch is still riding strong as goat piss!! Never a moments trouble.
