Anyone play fist person shooters(FPS)... along the lines of counter strike, battlefield2, Call of Duty ?

Post up if you play a FPS no matter what the game.

I used to play the Rainbow Six/Ghost Recon stuff a LOT on the PC... sort of fallen by the wayside recently.

My son spends hours playing them on his XBox, but I can't get used to console play. I played some Modern Warfare on it, got better for a bit, but didn't get back into it.

I can understand Rat have xbox just for football game pretty much. I used to PC game alot, now hardly ever. Just trying to see if we have enough folks around here and a game consensus to maybe have a gaming night or something.... just seeing what's out there.

I never got into gaming. I have seen some gaming computers I'd love to have though. The good ones are bad ass fast.

The closest I ever got to gaming was a flight sim, can't remember the name of it now but it was a helicopter. It looked really cool but unfortunately at the time I didn't have a machine that could run it like it should have been run. So I could only do a few simple things with it.

I used to be a big pc online gamer. I remember before everyone had high speed internet, a group of us would meet at someone's house and have one big LAN party.. Somtimes with as many as 15 to 16 Desktop computers hooked up on one private network. I played Unreal tournament, Quake, Halo, Doom, wolfenstein, Call of Duty, Madden Football, NHL hockey.. and a lot i don't remember.. Unreal Tournament was my favorite.. but i enjoyed playing them all...

Call of Duty modern warfare 2 on xbox360. Play a decent amount when there is nothing better to do.

I used to play Wolfenstein and then Doom years ago. It's fun but too addictive and will cause your body to atrophy. I'd like to check out one of the newer game consoles just to see how much they have progressed.

No FPS's, but I got waaaay too hooked on Warcraft.

Well about what I expected, didn't expect a ton of pc gamers to jump in here. Matter of fact this topic sounds like a damn gamers anonymous forum or something lol

I too had the bug bad for a year 1/2 or two. My sin was Battlefield 2. Driving tanks, flying or gunning in the chopper and flying jets in that game is awesome. I hardly ever game anymore and don't ever think I will get the bug again but would sure like to try a one night gaming thing a week with friends from here if we have a few players and a common game. Hell I just bought the first game in the last year two or three days ago, the newest battlefield bad company2 thru steam and have not even had time to fire the SOB up yet!

whats involved with hooking up an xbox360 to the internet, and how much does it all cost?
how much is that call of duty shooting modernwar game? can xboxs play people with ps3s?
would rather buy a ps3 since they play bluray. then again xboxes are half the price.
