One way to tell if you are scorching you're water is to see if it is sticking to the bottom of the pot. If it is, turn the heat down a little.

From the picture it looks like you boiled the piss instead of the water. Read the recipe a little closer next time. It specifically calls for water. But with all the talk of piss boiling on this thread I can see where the confusion came in. If you decide to stick with the piss instead of switching to water, the suggestion of adding salt can be skipped.

No hell no. You can clearly see noodles in there. For perfectly boiled water, you hafta resist the urge to put shit like that in there with it.

Last night when I saw it, I couldn't pick out the noodles. Right now Dex you didn't even get the water right, but you also overcrowded the pot. You've got on your hands a sticky starchy mess. Try again.

Didn't think to snap the photo until after the noodles were cooking.

Water normally boils better when you wrap it in bacon with cream cheese and jalapenos. Some folks like it marinated in Italian dressing too.

HS, can you recommend a good pairing for some boiled water?

I am thinking about preparing a special meal for the old lady tomorrow night...and want to do it right.

BB, you could go either way with it. Will the water be chilled after the boil? Will there be salt in it? I need to know the basics.

    Slightly seasoned.

Brought to a boil, and then reduce heat. Served at a "simmer" temperature.
