    It's figured out now.

I'm just reliving the play by play for you all.

Like I said, after dropping the poundage down my fp stayed on and bh groups moved to the left. At this point I'm aiming at the center dot on both my bag as well as my bh target. Not at all concerned with hitting it but with both bh and fp hitting in the same spot. After that a sight adjustment can be made to get 'em both on the dot.

I backed each limb bolt out a turn and a half. Didn't put it on a scale. Just kept moving it a 1/4 turn at a time until it "felt right" so I'm saying low 60's.

So now with the bh hitting left I moved the rest to the right. Result? BH dead on at 20 and now FP hitting to the right.

    Now what?

Sounds like you dropped the poundage by about half a turn too much. If dropping poundage moved them left, crank it back up half a turn and see where they are. That is my guess.

And that sir is exactly what I did. Rest adjustment didn't do it so I moved the rest back to center shot and tightened each bolt 1/4 turn.

Shot new groups and the fp stayed put while the bh moved oh so slightly to the right. Tightened another 1/4 turn and shot new groups and all is right with the world.

Now this put the draw weight at the upper end of comfortable for me so the option still exist to drop the weight and sight the thing in for the bhs and be done with it. It's not ideal but as long as arrow flight with the heads is good then it's no big deal.

The concern then becomes practice. If you have it set up for good broadhead flight and say to hell with the field points, you will have to always practice with your broadheads, or compensate for your field points impacting in a different spot. Imagine getting that OTE Decomate buck of a lifetime under your stand and you start aiming left because that's how you do it when you practice.

Exactly. Which is why I want 'em hittin' in the same spot.

As we used to say in the Ol' Canoe Club...

    You fight how you practice.

he shoots 5" feathers on cedar.

and wears a loin cloth...but only when going to town.

now...can I make my normal assholish remark that practicing with a compound equipped with sights, rests, and pins is a waste of time?

Don't forget to mention that "form" is bullshit or I'll be disappointed.

I'm shooting CX Heritage 300s and four 4" feathers.
