Default Motels close to White River

We are heading out the last week in January and our regular spot is already booked. Looking for a motel, cabin, lodge, etc. close to the southern part of the white river. Found several little towns close with a couple places to stay but would like to have a recommendation. Thanks!

There are a few places in DeWitt but I dont remember the names, there is a real shithole in Gillett called the the Rice Motel (and I mean shithole, stayed there a few times, in college when the budget was tighter, but they do have a good restaurant)

Thanks we have talked to the lady at the rice paddy motel and had an uneasy feeling when she was trying to fill a short-order in the restraunt and book us a room at the same time. We have our sons going with us so we will be a little picky about where we stay! Have you ever heard of the Pendleton Inn in Pendleton?

There is one in DeWitt called the Sahara hotel or something like that. Hole in the wall place but there are two resturants right there at it. One is called the Catfish Shack if I remember correctly and its got some good food.

There's a decent motel in Dumas (about 18 miles from the Pendleton access) run by indians but clean and reasonable. We usually stay there if we're hunting that part of AR. The have a couple of larger rooms on the 2nd floor corner that can accomidate all your stuff and extra folks.

We will hunt mostly in the white river in the south unit. Gillete is close and so is Dumas . We had pretty good success last year and fill like we have learned a thing or two for this year.
