That's not face paint...he just went hunting after work...

My eleven yr old really gets into the face paint during any kind of hunting, so I indulge him and let him paint my face before we get out of the truck...otherwise I wear a net mask

    BTW, Redleg, you're probably right

No mask or paint for deer. Hell it would be to hard to stay still and spit out of the thing (mask).

Redleg, I was in the service for a little while wore face paint, but I never went to combat. I really wouldn't want to wash that stuff off everytime I sat in a stand.

I wear a buff (like the cool inshore fishing guides wear) that covers my face but the main reason I wear it is to cover my white hair. The close fitting buff is a hell of a lot more comfortable than a veil type mask. I can blow a grunt or duck call through it but no spitting.

I personally can't stand the stuff. I did get lucky once because of camo facepaint in college. We got in late from some ROTC training and the dining facility was about to close. I ran in with a buddy to grab plates to go. As I was getting ready to leave, I was approached by this gal who says "I'm happy to see that there is an organization on campus that wears more makeup than the girl's volleyball team!" and the rest was, as they say, history...
