Ruth Polatty is in this one. She used to run the Hash House here right beside the railroad tracks. That place wouldn't seat but about 10 people.
Ruth was the meanest woman on Earth, she also lived through the woods behind my house and had a big old dinner bell hanging outside right next to the bedroom window.
Now here I was a kid, there hung a dinner bell right next to the woods where I often camped out. When camping out a kid never goes to sleep before daylight. So now you know why I thought Miss Ruth was the meanest woman on Earth.
She was especially mean when she had just been woke up at 3 in the morning to the LOUD sound of a bell!!
