    Default Looking for green peanuts

Looking for some peanuts to make Dexter's World Famous Boiled Peanuts.

I like to get 'em from the farmer's market or the like but seeing if anyone has a lead on some.

I don't like to get them from Bi LO.

    Whatcha got?

A farmers market will probably be the best bet at this point. Nuts are being harvested in Calhoun, Oburg, and Dorchester county right now and they are already to hard to boil, but i am sure you can get some at the market in Cola if nothing else

Depends on the price- roughly 8 lbs. more if price is right.

    I'll check out denver downs.

I can get just about any variety from my p-nut guy. If valencia is another one of the hundreds of names people call tennesee reds, then yes they are the most common one he grows and sells. They are around $20.00 a bushel.

Cola Farmers Market. Reds go for $30/bushel and Jumbos go for $40/bushel.

A bushel is more than you need unless you're going to hand 'em out in pint size bags to 100 people.
