Amen! Great list! Collect all your empties. Pick up EVERY downed bird. Leave your weapon at your stand and help your neighbor if you have marked one that he cant find. Another thing that i appreciate is when someone yell's "Behind you" or "Over the trees" to alert me to one sneaking in. Safe shooting fellas.

    SCTG...wonderful post.

I missed the State Convention last weekend...had to send a committee member to pick up our award/decoy. It was too close to CU for me to attend.

That was dadgum hilarious! Never seen someone hurl such a nice gun with such great accuracy! And yes fellas, the gun was unloaded when he tossed it.

Funnier than that was watching Costa try to figure what the heck was going on and how in the heck he was going to retrieve it!

I edited the lists and we WILL hand them out to our Georgia dove club group. They are a pretty good bunch of guys.... the list will be a good reminder.

The land owner did escort off two teens and their Dad last year for several incidents of shooting low birds. He refunded Dad's money and told them to never return...

    Very very good post TY.

I'm gonna make it a sticky.

i say that you, as prez of the proposed dove club, make each and every individual sign a copy of these guidelines. Upon fthe first breach....kicked out, NO REFUND, and 25 lashings

Can we add "No ATV races to the best stands allowed." to the proposed SCD Dove Club rules? Happens each week @ our club...

Never hunted public land for doves but might try to take my 7 yr out in the next month or so to some of the WMA hunts. How does it work when they "open" the field at 11 or 12? Is it a mad rush to find a spot? Are folks settin up small blinds? Can you walk around or will we be pretty much confined to space we 1st set up in? Just trying to get a feel for what to be prepared for.

BTW, Catdaddy, I hope they found that fellow named Mark, he must be one dumb sumbeach, getting lost at a dove shoot!

Do yourself and especially your 7 yr old a huge favor and stay as far away from public dove fields as you can for at least the 1st couple of weeks. I'm sure it varies, but alot some are seriously unsafe. You want to good experience for your 7 year old that's for sure.

haha, it is just too pathetic to not laugh at this guy. you can't make up all the shit that goes along with public land dove-hunting. i've been there, done that, and would just as soon get friendly with betty white then do that again.

Had an a$$hole last year fire one off in my direction after I hollered "low bird". He was an obvious rookie, and even thanked me for alerting him. Just had to laugh it off.........moron!
